Be Kind Rewind

This piece was a project I did for a 3D Sculpture class where we needed to use 100 pieces of an object. I used VHS tapes for the project. Opening up VHS to get to the ribbon I hot glued the ribbon to the hollow tapes, DVD cases, film reels, DVD discs, VHS covers, and a classic microphone seen from the 1940s. My theme for the sculpture is take time to rewind and reflect on how entertainment changed throughout 100 years. This piece was an honorable mention at an art for Arapahoe Community College in 2016.
